- Steam account data: When you connect your Steam account, we access your public profile, game library, playtime, and achievements through the Steam Web API. This data stays on your device.
- Anonymous usage analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated data about how the app is used (e.g., which screens are visited most) to improve the experience. This data cannot identify you.
- Device information: Basic device info like OS version and device model, collected through platform analytics to help us fix bugs and optimize performance.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect your name, email, or any personal contact information.
- We don't collect your Steam password or credentials.
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't track your location.
How we use your data
The data we collect is used to:
- Sync and display your Steam game library, playtime, and achievements within the app.
- Show you relevant game deals from CheapShark based on your interests.
- Provide game information and metadata from the IGDB database.
- Track your XP, streaks, and badges for the gamification features.
- Improve app performance and fix issues.
Third-party services
GameOn integrates with the following services:
- Steam Web API: To sync your game library and achievements.
- IGDB (Twitch): To provide game details, ratings, screenshots, and metadata.
- CheapShark API: To show game deals and price comparisons.
- Firebase (Google): For app infrastructure and anonymous analytics.
- Apple / Google: Platform-level analytics and crash reporting.

Data storage & security
Your game library data is stored locally on your device. We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data that passes through our servers. We don't store your Steam credentials — authentication happens directly through Steam's official API.

Children's privacy
GameOn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
